Paradox of our Love-Hate Relationship with Self Government

On March 13th, Dan Vizzini presented the informational lecture “The Paradox of Our Love-Hate Relationship with Self-Government.” This was be the first in a series of regular information sessions to provide historical context, background and cultural perspective on the current governmental structure of Clackamas County. It is designed with the residents of Oak Grove and Jennings Lodge in mind, but all are welcome.

Presenter Dan Vizzini is a Senior Fellow at the PSU Center for Public Service and a policy analyst with OHSU Center for Evidence-based Policy. In his 35-year public service career he’s specialized in public finance, infrastructure and public works, program development, and community engagement. Dan has lived in Lake Oswego for 35 yrs and has been a member and frequent chairperson of the Lake Oswego Planning Commission (1999-2009), as well as filled a 5-month appointment to fill a vacancy on the Lake Oswego City Council in 2010.
