Chips Janger is a co-founder of Urban Green, an activist environmental group that protects and restores the urban ecosystems of Oak Grove to enhance the vibrant and healthy community. Urban Green received a substantial grant to make the Park Ave station the most habitat friendly light rail station in the northwest, perhaps in the entire United States.
Chips is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Public Service at Portland State University and served as a ‘Think Tank’ advisor to Metro Councilors on future plans and alignments of high capacity rail transit for the Portland metropolitan area. From 2011 – 2013 he served as Chairman of the Public Advisory Committee of the Transportation System Plan for Clackamas County, to determine what transportation projects will (or won’t) be built during the subsequent 10 year period.
Chips is a master planner and designer of community festivals where he plays music and shares great food and drink.
